emerara Distillers Limited (DDL) under its Diamond Mineral Water brand will team up with National Cycling Coach, Hassan Mohamed to pedal off an 11-race cycling progamme today on the National Park’s inner circuit.
The eighth annual event will commence at 9:00hrs.

In handing over the sponsorship cheque earlier this week, DDL Sales Manager, Alexis Langhorne noted that DDL has always been keen on supporting cycling in the country and this year has been no exception. “We are very proud to be using our Diamond Mineral Water brand and product to help the cyclist perform at their optimum. Diamond Mineral Water has been supporting these races for the past eight years and is quite happy with the planning and execution of the competition,” she said.
Langhorne also presented Mohamed with a quantity of Diamond Mineral Water which will be used to rehydrate the cyclists during and after the race.
Other races for the day include the BMX Open, 6-9, 9-12, 12-14, Uprights and Mountain Bikes. Officials of the DDL will be on hand to assist in the presentation of prizes.
