A city resident who was found floating in Garraway Stream, Potaro River four days after he went missing was stabbed to death, police said yesterday.
According to a police press release, a post-mortem examination conducted on the body of miner Ray Holder, 29, of Sophia revealed that he died as a result of perforation of the lungs due to stab wounds. The PME was conducted by government pathologist Dr Nehaul Singh on Friday.
Holder had been reported as missing at Mahdia on March 15. His body was found floating in Garraway Stream, Potaro River on March 19, the release said while noting that investigations are in progress.
