A Guyanese man was on Saturday afternoon shot in his face in St Kitts by his supervisor who was reportedly angry that he and others had returned a quantity of building materials that were supposed to be delivered to an individual.
According to SKNVibes news website Wayne Jeffrey, who is employed with Builder’s Paradise in St. Kitts is now hospitalized with a gunshot wound to his face.
It was reported that Jeffrey hails from the Corentyne but currently resides in Conaree Village, St Kitts. SKNVibes stated that Jeffrey and a number of other employees were tasked with delivering building materials to customers, but they had returned to their place of employ with a quantity of wood after not locating the person.
Upon returning, Jeffrey was confronted by his irate supervisor who wanted to know why he was not informed about the return of the materials and he allegedly assaulted the young man who retaliated and the supervisor threatened to shoot him in the face. The news agency reported that the man then whipped out his gun and followed through on his threat.
Jeffrey was shot on the right side of his face and up to yesterday morning the bullet was still lodged in his body.
Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Lyndon David told SKNVibes that the police are investigating and a person of interest is in custody assisting with investigations.
