A teenager was remanded to prison after he was charged with robbery under arms, when he appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell on Friday.
It is alleged that on March 13 at Lamaha Street, Kitty, Kiev Allicock, 18, of Second Street, Kaneville, East Bank Demerara, being armed with a gun, robbed Mohammed Najeer of a black Perry Ellis wallet valued $6,000, $2,000, a gold ring valued $60,000 and a Scotiabank ATM card valued $1,000, all totalling $69,000.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
