Magistrate Sueanna Lovell remanded a labourer charged with having a quantity of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking, when he on Friday appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
It is alleged that on Thursday, at Kamuni Creek, 40-year-old Warren Thomas had in his possession 666 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
Warren, who appeared in court without an attorney, pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him.
No facts about what transpired on the day in question were related to the court.
Warren told the court that he has no antecedents and he is a labourer at a lumber yard.
The matter is being prosecuted by police corporal Denise Booker.
Warren was ordered to appear in court on April 22.
