Berbice Bridge company treats children

Over 30 children from neighbouring communities of the Berbice Bridge Company Inc. (BBCI) at D’ Edward, West Bank Berbice were treated to goodies and kites at an Easter celebration yesterday.

The children who were excited and felt special with the gesture were also sensitized about the significance of the occasion by pastor Paul Saul.

Chief Executive Officer of the BBCI, Omadat Samaroo said the company not only plays the role of “collecting tolls and facilitate vehicles crossing the Berbice River Bridge and vessels transiting through the Retractor span and under the High Span but also discharges its corporate responsibilities.”

He also referred to the integral part the BBCI has played “in the development of sports and charitable and non–charitable societies…”
