APNU parliamentarian Richard Allen remains a patient of the Georgetown Hospital, where doctors are closely monitoring his blood pressure.
Allen, who is APNU’s Region One parliamentary representative, was hospitalised on Thursday after he collapsed in the National Assembly. He had complained of feeling unwell the day before and said he had the flu.
Stabroek News was told yesterday that Allen’s condition has improved but his fluctuating blood pressure is of some concern to doctors.
Allen is said to be feeling better and has expressed worry about his contribution to the budget debate, which he was scheduled to present in the National Assembly yesterday.
APNU Leader David Granger and the Speaker of the National Assembly Raphael Trotman are among his parliamentary colleagues who have visited him in hospital.
