Reepu Daman Persaud funeral

Former government minister Reepu Daman Persaud was cremated today following ceremonies at Freedom House and the Guyana National Convention Centre at Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara.

Road fatality figure up

There has been an increase in the number of road fatalities so far for the year, compared to the January-March period last year, while an overall decrease of 3% in serious crimes has been recorded at the end of March 2013 in comparison to the same period in 2012, data released by the Guyana Police Force (GPF) yesterday revealed.
