A woman is now dead following another truck accident at Big Creek on Tuesday.
Dead is Angela Lawrence, 35, of Matthew’s Ridge, North West District.
Injured were Bonny Boyer, 43, of Mabaruma; Mark Allen, 16, of Port Kaituma; and Eon Williams, 18 of Haimarakabra, North West District.
According to a source, the truck was taking rations and fuel into Big Creek when it toppled, reportedly because of the terrain, killing the woman. Around ten other persons were on the truck.
Stabroek News understands that the three who were seriously injured were air-dashed to the city to receive treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) and arrived at the Ogle International Airport around 1:00 am yesterday.
The accident comes on the heels of another at Buck Hall on Saturday which claimed the lives of four persons. Those who died are Richard Doobay, 33 years of Riverstown, Pamela Solomon, 41 years of Sophia, George Persaud of Berbice and Audrey Evans of Supenaam.
