DCC plays GYO

Three matches have been scheduled for the Hadi’s World Incorporated first division, two-day cricket competition in Georgetown this weekend. All matches in the competition, hosted by the Georgetown Cricket Association, begin at 9.30am both days.

In Queenstown, the Gandhi Youth Organization (GYO) play the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) with umpires Hortence Isaacs and Eddie Nicholls officiating.

The powerful DCC side will missing several players but GYO will be wary of DCC’s talent especially wicketkeeper/batsman Kemol Savory, who is among the leading run scorers in the tournament.

Transport Sports Club will travel to Malteenoes Sports Club to oppose the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) where Matthew Kissoon and Mario Nichols will oversee play.

Transport recently had success at the venue, beating hosts Malteenoes Sports Club by 10 wickets.

The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) will host Everest Cricket Club in the feature match of the weekend with Colin Alfred and Cyril Garnath officiating.
