An elderly man is now dead after he was stabbed to his chest on High Street yesterday afternoon.
Frederick Thomas, 71, of Lot 64, Friendship, East Coast Demerara was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was taken there with a stab wound to his chest shortly after lunch.
Thomas was picked up with the stab wound from High Street with an ambulance. The police are investigating the matter.
