Two persons are now critical after an accident at Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara, during the wee hours of yesterday morning.
Injured are Pulsibai Prahlad, 25, and her brother, Shane Prahlad, 17, of Parika, East Bank Essequibo. They both are now patients of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Georgetown Hospital after they were transferred from the West Demerara Regional Hospital (WDRH) yesterday. Both of them were in critical conditions and sustained injuries to the head and other parts of the body.
The accident occurred sometime after 12 am yesterday when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a car, a source told this newspaper. When contacted, relatives of the injured duo stated that they could not say how the accident occurred.
