CHENNAI, India, CMC-Dwayne Bravo’s Chennai Super Kings were stunned by the unfancied Pune Warriors as matches in the Indian premier League (IPL) continued at the MA Chidambaram Stadium yesterday.
The West Indies all-rounder picked up two wickets for 35 runs from four overs as the Super Kings suffered an unlikely 24 run defeat at the hands of the Warriors.
Bravo had Mitchell Marsh caught for two and removed Manish Panday’s off stumps with a slower delivery for nine as warriors built up 159 for five in 20 overs.
Warrior’s innings rode on Aaron Finch’s 67 off 45 and Steven Smith’s unbeaten 39 off 16.
Super Kings got to only 135 for 8 in 20 overs as Warriors completed an upset victory.
