The decomposing body found in a wooden shack at Ketley Street, Charlestown last Saturday morning has been identified as that of Narchand Budhoo.
Relatives of Budhoo identified his body yesterday at the Lyken’s Funeral Parlour.
When reached for comment yesterday, Budhoo’s relatives said that they did not wish to speak on the matter since the police were presently carrying out investigations.
Police had said no marks of violence were evident on the decomposing body, which was found after residents of the area began an investigation of the nearby alley where the shack was situated because of an unpleasant smell emanating from it.
Pamela Jordan, who was in the vicinity at the time, later told this newspaper that two men broke down the door of the shack and discovered the body already in a decomposed state.
