Investigators have managed to identify two suspects in Sunday’s murder of city businessman Orin Joseph and are looking for them, according to Crime Chief Seelall Persaud.
Persaud told Stabroek News yesterday that the persons identified are known to the police.
Joseph, the owner of a taxi service and the former president of the Georgetown Domino Federation was shot during a black out a short distance from his home located at lot 1223 Gaulding Place, South Ruimveldt.
He had gone to his car when he was reportedly attacked by two men on a CG motor cycle. After shooting him at least once, he was reportedly relieved of some gold jewellery he was wearing.
Moments before the shooting, a domino competition was held at his home.
Persaud said that investigators are pursuing several lines of inquiry to determine the motive of the attack.
