NEW DELHI, India, CMC-West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo was not called upon to do much with ball and bat as his Chennai Super kings handed Delhi Daredevils a moral shattering defeat in the Indian Premier League (IPL) yesterday.
Chennai, seeking to return to winning ways, demolished Daredevils by 86 runs at the Firoz Shah Stadium in New Delhi.
Daredevils, which also include West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell who did not play, have lost their six consecutive matches and are now languishing at the bottom of the table.
Bravo was run out for three runs as Chennai built up 169 for four on a scintillating 65 not out from Mike Hussey and a swashbuckling innings of 44 from skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni in 23 balls.
Bravo lost his wicket since he was not quick enough to return for a second run after striking the last ball of the innings to the leg side.
He picked up one wicket for eight runs in 1.3 overs after Tilak Yadav hit his slower delivery straight to Suresh Raina as Daredevils lost all their wickets for 83 runs.
