At about 1100h today, police say that a motor lorry and an unregistered ATV, travelling in opposite directions, collided on a turn along the trail at Frenchman, Siparuni.
Two Brazilian nationals, driver Gerald Rusino, 37 years; and pillion rider Dennis Perries, 37 years, who were on the ATV, suffered injuries. Perries subsequently succumbed to his injuries while Rusino has been admitted to the Mackenzie Hospital.
Investigations are in progress.
