The police say that at about 0115h today, mini-bus driver Rabindra Samaroo, 26 years, of Owen Street, Kitty, was standing at the junction of Owen Street, Kitty, when shots were discharged at him from a motor vehicle that was driving by.
Samaroo was hit to his abdomen and has been admitted to hospital for medical treatment.
Investigations are in progress.
