The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health yesterday held a mini health fair at Narine’s parking lot opposite the GRA.
Members of the public, staff of GRA and pupils of the St Margaret’s Primary School flocked the booths which displayed information on raising awareness about the importance of dental hygiene, cervical cancer screening, tuberculosis and the relevance of HIV testing.
Patrons were off diabetes and blood pressure testing and could also donate blood.
The GRA said that the objective of this community outreach programme is to promote health and wellness amongst their employees and the community.
