Tutorial High School defeated Central High 3-1 through a Mario Padmore double in the 55th and 60th minutes on Wednesday evening when action continued in the Scotiabank/Pepsi Schools Football Tournament at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Padmore recorded both of his goals through penalty kicks in the second half of the match to open the winning account for Tutorial.
Steve Stunton scored the second goal three minutes after Padmore’s opening goal in fifty-seventh minute. Central High was lucky enough to net their only goal via a penalty kick through Emmanuel Williams in the sixty-fifth minute of play.
Four games are scheduled for Sunday at the same venue from 10:30 hrs. Chase Academy Foundation and the Bishops’ High will clash in a male encounter in the first game, while Christ Church Secondary and Lodge Secondary will face off in a female game at 11:45 hrs.
The action resumes at 13:00 hrs with two male games between North Georgetown Secondary and Queen’s College and New Campbellville Secondary and Tutorial High.
Meanwhile, School of Nations tops Group ‘A’ points table with six points; while Christ Church Secondary and Charlestown Secondary are leading Group ‘B’ with six points each. New Campbellville tops the female side with six; in the runner-up position is North Georgetown with one point.
