Dear Editor,
It’s Sunday evening, 7.10pm, no cameras, no crowd, just a few members of the police force at the cordoned-off junction of Sheriff Street and the East Coast Highway, as the sea wall is over-topped. Minister of Public Works, Mr Robeson Benn pulls up in his Land Cruiser, surveys the area then alone begins shifting sandbags back into position. What does it say about Minister Benn? I salute you, Sir.
Yours faithfully,
Siri Persaud
