Walter Narine was released on $200,000 bail after he was charged with forgery when he appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman yesterday at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
Narine, 39, denied the allegation which stated that on January 2 at Georgetown he conspired with a person or persons unknown to forge an analytical test report.
His lawyer Paul Fung-A-Fat asked that his client be admitted to reasonable bail since he has a fixed place of abode at Lot 78 Area ‘F’, Ogle, East Coast Demerara. He added that he has one child and he works in the administration department of the Balwant Singh Hospital.
Police sergeant Vishnu Hunt prosecuting had no objection to bail.
Narine was released on $200,000 bail.
The matter will be called again on May 10.
