South Turkeyen Sports Committee and Bannas Foundation will on Sunday stage a grand Day of Sports in honour of Johnny ‘Overseas’ Barnwell’s 67th birth anniversary.
The event, organized by Kevin Walcott and scheduled to commence at 9.30am will be held at the Meadowbrook Playfield Meadowbrook Gardens.
The highlight of the day’s event will be the seven-a-side football tournament for area teams inclusive of Sophia, Lodge and East Ruimveldt among others.
Other events to be played on the day include a six-overs-a-side tape ball tournament, 60-metre races for U-13 boys and girls and a 60-metre race for seniors.
