Mark Scott, Council Member/ Competitions Director of the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) has resigned.
Stabroek Sports was made to understand that Scott tendered his resignation on Monday afternoon.
Scott briefly speaking with Stabroek Sports said he wanted to dedicate more of his time towards his club, the Police Progressive Youth Club.
Scott, and Lyndon Wilson are attached to the Police Progressive Youth Club as coaches.
The club field over sixty athletes which includes both track and field athletes.
President of the AAG, Aubrey Hutson, when contacted said that he was unaware of Scott’s resignation.
“I am not aware of that (his resignation) because I have not received any letter but I will have to contact him to have better information,” Hutson said.
