Jamaican patty franchise, Juici Patties will soon be coming to Guyana.
An advertisement in yesterday’s Sunday Stabroek said that Camex Restaurants Inc is looking for employees to fill the needs of the franchise at New Amsterdam, Linden, Georgetown, Parika, Vreed-en-Hoop and Bartica.
It said that Juici Patties specializes in patties ranging from beef to soy, chicken, vegetable and shrimp. It said that the product offering also includes loaves, cocoa bread and other products.
Juici Patties’ website says it started out in 1980 as Juici Beef Patties, a company manufacturing and selling beef patties. Its founder, Jukie Chin learnt to make patties from the age of 16, the website said.
“It started as a cottage industry, where he manufactured patties in his mother’s kitchen and sold it to the small grocery store owned by the family. The demand for his product grew and he then established a store in May Pen, Clarendon. The staff included a baker a cashier and himself. He often times had to assume many roles”, the website said.
It added that “The product line grew over the years, to include over fifty products comprising different types of patties, loaves, soups, porridges and traditional breakfast dishes. In an increasingly, fast-paced society, Juici developed a menu that reflected the taste of the Jamaican people, and offered them the kind of food most were accustomed to having.
Jamaicans now had a place that offered their own food, at their convenience, in a comfortable setting comparable to international chains.
This is reflective of our mission statement.”
Camex Restaurants is already the franchisee of Church’s Chicken, Dairy King, Mario’s Pizza and Quiznos.
