After days under police guard at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Allan Alston Belle appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with the slashing death of his estranged wife.
According to the Barbados Nation, Belle, 58, a landscaper of St Barnabas Heights, St Michael, was not required to plead to the charge that he murdered Brenda Belle, on April 30.
Magistrate Douglas Frederick remanded the accused to HMP Dodds until June 3, when he is due to reappear in court, the nation said.

Relatives in Guyana had said that the woman had only returned to Barbados on March 20 after arriving in Guyana in February.
