A public seminar on Guyanese oral literature will be held today at 5 – 6.30pm at the Education Lecture Theatre of the University of Guyana, a release from the university said.
Final year students of English and Education, Rosalie Seepaul and Chandrani Brijlall, who have been studying oral literature (traditional storytelling) and collecting samples of Guyanese folklore, narratives, proverbs, and other oral traditions in different parts of the country will make presentations.
