Stella Ramsaroop is not the first American to speak up for Guyanese women’s rights

Dear Editor,

Ms Mala Persaud vented her anger against Stella Ramsaroop in her missive of May 7 captioned ‘Stella Ramsaroop should deal with domestic violence in the United States.’ On the other hand, I vaguely remember another “American” before and after her presidency of Guyana, vehemently speaking up for women’s rights, and as such, is just the same. Am I missing something here?
