A prisoner was fined $3,000 and ordered to do six months of community service after he pleaded guilty to having cannabis in his possession while in prison.
Shemroy Hackett, who appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown court yesterday, admitted to having in his possession four grammes of cannabis sativa at the Camp Street Prison on Wednesday. He was fined and ordered to do community service while he is in prison by the magistrate.
