Shomari Wiltshire is Most Outstanding as national squash c/ship climaxes

National player Shomari Wiltshire won the U11 and U13 squash competitions and placed second in the U15 category to be adjudged the most outstanding player when the Guyana Sqaush Association’s national junior championsips ended yesterday at the Georgetown Club.

Wiltshire, following in the footsteps of his father Garfield, a former Southern Caribbean squash champion, played unbeaten in the U11 and U13 categories before losing to Ben Meckdeci in the U15 final, to signal the arrival of a precocious talent.

The young Wiltshire did not drop a game against any of his opponents in the U11 competition which saw him playing a whopping 13 matches but he reserved his best squash for the U15 semi- final encounter against a
