The 33-year-old man who sustained a stab wound to his chect after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman two Saturdays ago, dies as a result of tuberculosis (TB), which he had been suffering from for some time, and not the stab wound as was previously believed.
A release from the police last Friday said that Anthony Mark Fredericks of Barnwell Squatting Area, Mocha, East Bank Demerara died from TB.
A 27-year-old woman, Simone Daniels, who admitted that she had stabbed the man with a small penknife had been taken into custody after the man died.
She was released following the post-mortem examination.
