Tutorial High School continued its winning ways in the Scotiabank/Pepsi Schools’ Football Academy after they edged New Campbellville Secondary 4-3 at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue on Sunday.
Tutorial High’s goal scorers were Alistair Frank, Tariq Nelson, Matthew Greaves and Kevon Roach while Eukini McPherson netted a double for Campbellville and Kenrick Mayers added the other goal.
Bishops’ High School and Lodge Secondary earned walk over victories from Tucville Secondary and Central High respectively.
Meanwhile a female game is expected to be played between New Campbellville and North Georgetown Secondary tomorrow at the same venue from 16:00hrs.
Meanwhile, local coordinator of tournament Lawrence Griffith said two male teams, Tucville Secondary (defending champions of the tournament) and Central High opted out of the competition.
Griffith was unable to elaborate on the reasons surrounding the withdrawal and indicated that he will make the disclosure when information is available.
