The Ministry of Home Affairs is inviting sealed bids for a number of projects for the disciplined services including construction of the Lusignan Prison estimated at $67M.
According to an advertisement in yesterday’s edition of the Guyana Chronicle, under the heading Capital Works, sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders are invited for the phase one construction of the Lusignan Prison which an engineer has estimated to
be $67,085,150; phase one construction of a Trade Shop at the Lusignan Prisons estimated at $19, 732,130 and the construction of a Brick Prison at the Georgetown Prison estimated to cost $42,614,055.
For the Guyana Police Force, bids are being invited for the construction of the upper flat of the Brickdam lockups estimated to cost $53,781,901 and the construction of the Santa Cruz Outpost Region One, estimated at $16,403,464.
Meanwhile, under the heading Current Works, bids are being invited for the renovation of the Officers Lunch Room, Georgetown Prisons, $1, 305, 200; renovation of the Admin Building, George-town Prison, $1,251,400 and the construction of a reservoir at the Lusignan Prison.
For the Guyana Fire Service bids are being invited for repairs to the Central Fire Station, Stabroek estimated at $1,965,190; repairs to the Central Fire Station, Appli-ance Bay, Stabroek, $2,846,000 and tiling of the floor, Fire Service Head-quarters, Annex, Stabroek, Georgetown, $1,974,000.
Bids must be deposited in the Tender Box at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board no later than 0900 hours on June 4. At that time the bids will be opened in the presence of those bidders or their representatives who choose to attend the opening, the advertisement said.
