The World Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has allocated a Grassroots Beach Volleyball coaching course slated to spike off in Guyana starting from the June 24th to June 29th 2013.
FIVB course Instructor, Mauro Hernandez from Venezuela is expected to arrive in Guyana on the 23rd June and will conduct his coaching clinics for level 1 and 2 players with the aim of developing school, community and beach volleyball. Guyana is designated as a level 1 federation.
President of the Guyana Volleyball Federation (GVF), Lennox Shuffler said “Beach volleyball is gaining increased popularity worldwide and is included in the Olympic Games, we want to push the sport to the highest level here in Guyana and this clinic will reinforce that endeavour”.
