Bosai is scaling down its bauxite operations in Linden so that power can be utilized by the wider community as it takes steps to repair three faulty generating units.
According to a press release yesterday from the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environ-ment, the management of the Bosai Minerals Group Guyana Inc., (Bosai) has informed Minister Robert Persaud about the difficulties it has been encountering with power generation at Linden. Persaud has informed Prime Minister Samuel Hinds who has responsibility for electricity, about the issue.
Bosai has given assurances that efforts are being made to repair the damaged power generating units and in the interim it has cut back its operations to serve the wider community.
Meanwhile, plans are in train for various stakeholders to review the situation today with a view to normalising power generation in the community.
