The African Cultural Development Association (ACDA) and the Coalition of the 1823 Parade Ground Monument will celebrate the 201st anniversary of Georgetown tomorrow by hosting a Kreole Day at the Parade Ground from noon to 6 pm.
A release from ACDA said that Georgetown was established in May 1812 and has since been the centre of social, political, economic and cultural activities of British Guiana then independent Guyana.
According to a poster on Facebook, the Kreole Day will have food and beverages, arts and crafts on sale. The cultural programme will include story tellers, musicians and dramatists.
