In the May 12, 2013 Sunday Stabroek in the article headlined `Police aware of Guyana/Suriname cross-border drug trafficking’ it was incorrectly stated that Crime Chief Seelall Persaud said that drugs were moving freely across the Guyana/Suriname border.
Persaud did not use the word “freely” in his interview with this newspaper but had said that he was aware of the movement of drugs to and fro.
Stabroek News regrets the error and any embarrassment caused.
