Four Sophia Care Centre children, who were rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital for treatment on Friday for vomiting and diarrhoea, are still in the Paediatric Ward where their conditions are being monitored.
The children’s conditions are listed as stable but they still appeared to be weak and some of them still had their untouched meals next to them when Stabroek News visited yesterday. They and 12 others were rushed to the hospital for treatment. A nurse at the hospital had said that they suspected the children had ingested contaminated water which caused the diarrhoea and vomiting.
