Lodge Secondary led by doubles from Kevin Boters and Ryan Hackett defeated Tutorial High 4-1 as action in the Pepsi/Scotiabank U-15 Schools football tournament continued at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue yesterday.
Boters would break the early deadlock through a second minute strike while Hackett scored in the 16th minute. Further goals in the 19th and 55th minutes by Boters and Hackett respectively sealed the victory for the Lodge unit. Steve Stanton was on target for Tutorial in the 58th minute.
Christ Church Secondary powered by an Andre Trotz double in the 26th and 30th minutes crushed Bishops’ High School 4-0. Brad Evans and Andre Paul found the back of the net for the Middle Street based side in 11th and 28th minutes respectively.
A Nehemiah Gomes second half brace in the 50th and 57th minutes propelled North Georgetown Secondary to a 5-1 victory over Queen’s College. Joshua Farrier, Osafa Matheson and Lansdale George added to the score line in the 29th, 39th and 45th minutes respectively after Ashmar Angel gave Queen’s College the brief lead in the 11th minute.
