Dear Editor,
I am again forced to write publicly on a matter that has resurfaced. The issue relates to a parked vehicle ‒ a Toyota Tundra ‒ at the intersection of Norton and Victor Streets, Lodge. The presence of this vehicle poses a great risk to the lives of road users, particularly drivers attempting to cross over or turn into Norton Street in either direction. Editor, Norton Street is a known speedway for minibuses plying that route especially during rush hour. Should one attempt to use that intersection, it would have to be with extreme caution, since the eastern view of Norton Street is obscured by the parked Tundra.
I had had reason to write previously on a similar matter; however, at that time, it related to Bedford MM trucks being parked in the same location where the Tundra is now located.
It would be greatly appreciated if the Guyana Police Force could urgently look into this matter, thereby preventing a major catastrophe at that intersection.
Yours faithfully,
John Chester-Inniss
