Police are looking for a person of interest in the murder of lumberyard manager Thandu Singh, who was found on Tuesday with his throat slit.
Singh, 22, also called ‘Tony’ and ‘Fine-man,’ was the caretaker and manager of the Trade Linc lumber establishment, located at Lot 37 Public Road Land of Canaan.
Singh was found dead on Tuesday afternoon by colleagues in the cottage he lived at the rear of the business establishment, with what appeared to be a deep cut to the throat and injuries to his skull.
Crime Chief Seelall Persaud yesterday told Stabroek News that investigations were continuing and that the police are looking for “a person of interest” based on information they are currently working with.
“There is a story that forms a line of inquiry that may or may not be so,” Persaud said.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed tomorrow to determine the cause of Singh’s death.
