Navindra Singh of LBI Housing Scheme yesterday emerged the grand prize winner of ANSA McAl Trading Limited’s Tropical Rhythms ‘For the Fun of Life’ Promotion and is the new owner of a Mazda Axela car, as a result.
When the drawing was held yesterday at ANSA McAl’s Beterverwagting Office, Singh also won for himself one of the consolation prizes, an Apple iPad.
When contacted by a representative of ANSA McAl, Singh enquired if it was a joke being played on him. “I am shocked; surprised… You can’t believe… all sort of emotion going through me right now. I knew I had a good chance of winning because I put in a lot of entries… Well over a hundred! I collected Tropical Rhythms’ corks from friends and family and bought a few cases just to ensure that I had a good chance of winning something,” he said. He added that he has participated in all ANSA McAl promotions hoping to one day win big.
The other winners in the final draw were Robin Bacchus of Bougainvillea Park, Farm, East Bank Demerara who won an Apple iphone and Sue-Channie Chan of 10 Sixth Street, Better Hope, East Coast Demerara who won a 32” LCD television.
Anjeta Hinds, Brand Representative for Tropical Rhythms said the company would like to congratulate all the winners, especially Singh and all those who participated. She also apologised “for the miscommunication as to the date of the extension of the promotion, however, the ad was subsequently pulled and I would also like to state that due to the magnitude of entries received in this promotion… for the next promotion, drawings will be done countrywide.”
The promotion saw winners hailing from all over the country. This is the first national promotion for Tropical Rhythms. The official presentation will be held next Wednesday.
