Six men are in custody and over two kilogrammes of marijuana have been seized after police made two drug busts in Berbice on Thursday.
According to police, three men were taken into custody after a tip led police to search a house at Ferry Street, New Amsterdam, where they found 1.903 kilogrammes of marijuana, during a midday raid.
Later, at about 9:15pm, police said, ranks of a mobile police patrol stopped a vehicle at No. 12 Public Road, West Coast Berbice and a search uncovered 463 grammes of marijuana. Three men were also taken into custody after this discovery.
