(Trinidad Express) A 28-YEAR-old Siparia woman was found dead in her house on Tuesday afternoon.
Rehanna Ali, of Spring Road, Quarry Village, was apparently chopped to death. Four of her fingers were severed and there was a gaping wound to the neck.
Ali’s body was reportedly discovered at around 5 p.m. by her husband, Ala Bissessar, a construction worker and ‘PH’ taxi driver.Bissessar, 48, told police that he had left home at around6.30 a.m. to go to work.
He said when he returned in the afternoon he saw the front door of the house open, and Ali dead on the living room floor.ASP Karl Ramlal led a party of police officers from the Siparia CID and Southern Disivion Task Force and Homicide Division (South) visited the scene. Police have detained a man in connection with the killing.
