We are well into the rainy season and with the heavy rainfall we are getting at the moment, the grass on the lawn may well be showing signs of distress. It is most important if you want to maintain your lawn to make sure that you have good drainage around it.
And keep drains clear so that excess water can run off easily.
You would also need to spike your lawn with a fork. The spike should penetrate the soil toa depth of approximately 3-4 inches. This is in order to allow air and water to get access to the roots.
Push the fork into the soil at intervals, moving it back and forward to loosen the soil.
You would also need to add a lawn fertilizer fortnightly as the heavy rain would have leached out the nutrients from your lawn. Alternatively, you can use Miracle Gro All Purpose to cover the lawn at a strength of 1 tablespoon to a gallon of water every 7-14 days. There is nothing like a good lawn to enhance gardens and parks with trees and flowers.
