Leader of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR), Brigadier (Rtd) David Granger and the members of the Central Executive Committee have expressed condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Dr Kenrick Orrin Evan Barrow, who died in Jamaica last Tuesday.
A release from the PNCR said that Dr Barrow, 75, came from a prominent Guyanese family with a long tradition of professionals including his late father Dr P G Barrow, a long-serving and highly respected Medical Officer of Health for the city of Georgetown.
Dr Barrow had a long list of academic achievements and a distinguished medical career in Guyana and the Caribbean. He was physician to the late founder leader of the PNC and president of Guyana, LFS Burnham, as well as to the former Jamaica Prime Minister PJ Patterson.
He was the recipient of many professional and national honours, including the Cacique Crown of Honour.
Dr Barrow is survived by his widow Pauline Hayle-Barrow, three children, Philip, Paige and Peter, and other relatives.
