The badly decomposed body of a man was yesterday morning found in a dilapidated shack on Shell Road Kitty, Georgetown.
At about 9:30am residents alerted police to the stench emanating from the shack. When police arrived the body was so decomposed that the face was unidentifiable.
Up to press time last evening the body had not been identified. It is currently at the Lyken Funeral Parlour .
Residents in the street told this publication that they did not know the man nor did they notice anything suspicious. Some speculated that it was a destitute person who had taken up residence at the shack.
Police are investigating.
