Tamika Adams, 19, who admitted to spitting on her neighbour, was yesterday placed on a bond to keep the peace for one year.
Adams, of 47 Norton Street Lodge, appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on an assault charge.
It was alleged that on May 14, at Norton Street, Georgetown, she unlawfully assaulted Coretta Eastman.
Adams, who was represented by attorney Paul Fung-A-Fat, pleaded guilty to the charge.
Fung-a-Fat told the court his client spat from her upper flat apartment and one of the occupants from the downstairs apartment came out and started to curse her, claiming a few drops had fallen on her. He said that Adams spat again, and it landed on Eastman’s head. Eastman was not present at the time of the hearing yesterday.
As a result, the magistrate placed Adams on a bond to keep the peace and be of good behaviour for a year. Adams subsequently apologised and promised never to repeat her actions.
