The body of David Persaud of Grove was discovered in his car at the South Dakota Circuit, Timehri, East Bank Demerara last evening. Police are investigating the cause of death. Persaud was said to be in the driver’s seat but there was no clear sign of foul play.
Sabrina Bridgemohan, Persaud’s daughter-in-law told Stabroek News that the family was alerted late in the evening and her husband went to the scene while she stayed with her in-laws at Persaud’s home Lot 34, First Street Grove. Bridgemohan stated that the details were still emerging but that the family was in shock.
“He was a mechanic and he had the farm, this is all very shocking we are just waiting on the details,” Bridgemohan told this publication.
Persaud leaves to mourn a wife, two children and three grandchildren. His daughter in New York was notified by family minutes after receiving the news that Persaud had died.
