Norman Madhoo played unbeaten at last Friday’s Peter Baker’s darts Tournament held at Clerico House.
Madhoo, who is on holiday in Guyana, won the men’s singles title after conquering Colin France 3-0 in the final. He also crushed Luis Ramirez-Merlano in the semi-finals after Ramirez-Merlano had gained a walk over from Anil Latchman in the quarter-finals.
France, who had some close matches, won 2/1 against Andrew Balchand in the quarter final before defeating Lallchand Rambahrose by a similar margin in the semi-final.
The ladies singles title was won by Rosetta Hiralall from Shaundell Hyles.
Hiralall defeated Mary Correia while Hyles got the better of Hemwattie Amyan in the semi-finals.
In the draw doubles, the partnership of Madhoo and Anthony Bissondyal eliminated Sudeshpersaud Fitzgerald/Bryan James in the semi-finals before defeating the pair of Ramirez-Merlano/Lallchand Rambahrose in the final to take the title.
The losing finalists had earlier defeated Mark Persaud/Anil Latchman in their semi-final encounter.
